When the time’s right

When the time’s right

Black they call my boat but I know,
It is just the light
That needs be right.
And once the light in all its glory
Bathes my boat,
They’ll tell an all different story!

Dark they call my oars but I know,
That won’t be forever,
Once the water washes over –
My oars shall glow, like brand new gold.
Then they shall sing,
A whole new song
The young and the old!

Today they might get me all wrong,
Laugh and mock
And joke all along.
Oh but I know, once the time’s just right
The wind will be in my sails
And my sun shall shine bright!
