About Me

Hello! I am Avik. Presently employed with an Indian multinational organization which is engaged in business and IT consulting.

I was born in Durgapur, a town located in the eastern part of India in the state of West Bengal. It was in this steel township where I spent the early part of my life. After finishing with my schooldays, I did my Bachelors in (electronics and communication) technology. Right after my graduation, I decided to pursue my post-graduation studies in business management at XLRI Jamshedpur (incidentally, another steel township – kind of makes me the boy of steel!) where my areas of focus were Marketing and Operations. Following this, I joined my present organization.

At present, I live in and work out of Bengaluru.

And, if you haven’t guessed by now, literature and cinema are second only to oxygen for me 🙂

Recently, I have developed an interest in photography, though I am not sure if it’s a real fascination or just a passing one. Visit my Instagram page (link below) to share your views about that!

  • The Wait (poem)
Don’t take the pain away, I pray Lest I forget how bad it had hurt, Just give me a song if you can So it doesn’t sting so hard.   Don’t take those memories away Lest I forget to mind the gap, Just give me a fairytale where the hero Can leap coolly across the... […]
